You Ever Notice…

…how pretty much all of these scumbag “Master Race” types look like their family tree hasn’t forked in about five generations?  Kind of like how none of the top Nazis back in the day looked a damn thing like the “Aryan ideal”?

Signs of the Times

If this isn’t a perfect metaphor for the Obama Administration, I don’t know what is.  Are the Democrats really just the (previously dead and buried with Nelson Rockefeller) moderate wing of the GOP?  Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the Psychiatric Wing of the GOP is merrily attempting to abolish democracy (but only for brown people and poor people and old people) in advance of the 2012 election.  More to the point, what (if anything) are liberals going to do about it (besides the traditional “sit around and whine” or “show them all by not voting and electing even more lunatic Republicans” methods)?

Nothing Personal

ConocoPhillips thinks people who criticize their continued consumption of tax subsidies in the face of record profits are “un-American,” but they don’t think you should take it “personally.”  That’s fine, because I happen to think ConocoPhillips CEO Jim Mulva is an ignorant pissant who runs on all fours, lusts after little boys, howls at the moon and pisses in the corner.  But don’t take it personally, Jimbo.

Three Cheers for the Tea Party!

No, seriously. Thanks to the defection of members of the Tea Party Caucus, the vote to extend the odious PATRIOT Act failed, 277-148.  And this is AFTER the Obama Administration covered itself in glory by actually seeking a LONGER extension than the House GOP.  Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.

You Don’t Need A Weatherman…

Former Bush Administration officials David Frum and Scott McClellan bash the Tea Partiers as bad for the GOP.  I can’t imagine what could possibly make them think that.  Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the dregs of the Right Wing Blogosphere rush to defend the violently insane Hutaree Militia.  Remember, these are some of the same people who lionized a psychotic cult-leader and child molester like Vernon Howell as a sainted martyr to the Second Amendment and some of the same politicians who invited the pathetic leaders of the “militia movement” of the 1990’s to testify before Congress, so concerned were they that these losers in camo pants might be given a bad name by Timothy McVeigh.

Getting Crazier

Newsmax runs an article advocating a military coup against the duly-elected President of the United States.  No, seriously.  Like the late unlamented Jesse Helms before him, John Perry insults every man and woman who wears or has ever worn the uniform of the US Armed Forces.  Repulsive.

Meanwhile, Cong. Trent Franks (R-Crazytown) declares the president an “enemy of humanity,” which I suppose is a step-up from being merely the Anti-Christ and Glenn Beck and his flock continue to push the bizarre “Obama hates white people” meme.

According to a recent poll, the more often Americans go to church, the more likely they are to support torture

And that is the state of the Body of Christ in America today, ladies and gentlemen.  God help us all.

Meet the New Boss…

…same as the old boss?  Some well-deserved (and well-written) criticism of the Obama Administration for adopting some of the most noxious and repellent aspects of Bush’s war on civil and human rights.

Yeah, I Was Wondering When This Would Start

The return of those lovable pathetic losers, the “militia movement,” this time aided and abetted by delusional racist psychopaths like Glenn Beck and FOX “News” (and, incidentally, imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth if any liberal had suggesting anything like this while Dubya was in office?  Or cracking jokes about nuking Crawford?).  We can only hope this latest eruption of paranoid fantasy doesn’t end the same deadly way the last one did (though there are some disturbing developments already).

Who Could Have Imagined…

…that giving unlimited, unreviewable, unrestrained power to the Executive in the name of “fighting terror” could possibly have any negative consequences?
