Aboriginal Olympians

 

I find this story bizarre.  How could it be possibly interpreted as a “political statement” for an athlete to display a flag that is considered an “official flag” of the nation he is representing?  If an American Indian athlete displayed a tribal flag, would that be considered a “political statement”?
